TRICOR scheme to benefit 28 families
Visakhapatnam: Minister for Tribal Welfare and Primary Healthcare Kidari Sravan Kumar on Thursday inaugurated TRICOR scheme of 2018-19 at his camp office in Lawson’s Bay Colony. A total of 28 people received 10 Toyota Innova and 18 Bolero Cars, which were purchased with loans of Rs 3.45 crore out of which Rs 1.25 crore was released as concession.
He said that for 2017-18, 51 vehicles were distributed by the Chief Minister in last August. With an aim to generate an income of Rs 15,000 for the tribal families, the government was organising Grounding Mela, he added. He said that 1,100 teacher posts and 1,900 ANM posts would be filled this year.
In order to provide employment to tribal youth of Araku Valley and Lammasingi, the vehicles denoted by TRICOR would be used to take travelers, which would generate an income of Rs 10,000 per month for the tribal youth, he added. MD of TRICOR Ravindra Babu, ITDA Project Co-Director VS Prabhakar Rao and TRICOR in-charge N Seetaramayya were present at the event.
