Vizag East to emerge as new hub for IT

  • 18 big IT companies including IBM, Conduent, Miracl, FinTech Tower, Symbiosys, Cyient, Mouri Tech and other companies successfully leading the business at the IT-SEZ Madhurawada

Visakhapatnam: With many national and international reputed companies expressing interest to establish their units in IT-SEZ Madhurawada, a new city is being emerged towards east of Visakhapatnam. 

With six-lane beach front express highway connecting the Bhogapuram Greenfield International Airport, realtors, builders and individuals are rushing to invest in these areas for commercial exploitation. 

The State government developing the IT-SEZ, Madhurawada on priority basis and offering sops to companies. 

Observing the high need of infrastructure to shape up the areas into an international attraction, the government is spending huge amounts. 

With direct supervision of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, several highly reputed companies are coming up in the area. 

Besides the international airport and express highway, works started for the first of its kind in the country, UNESCO Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development and the Andhra Pradesh Government developing i-hub in the same area. 

Already NASCOM, Govin Capital, NRDC, Andhra Pradesh Innovation Valley, Sunrise Towers-incubation hub and about 18 big IT companies including IBM, Conduent, Miracl, FinTech Tower, Symbiosys, Cyient, Mouri Tech and other companies successfully leading the business at the IT-SEZ. 

Lately the Adani's Data Centre and Technology Park also started works in the area. 

Besides, IT-SEZ, Madhurawada more IT giants including Wipro, Concentrix, Tech Mahindra, WNS, HSBC, Patra India and  Fluentgrid establishing their units in the city. 

In fact, the area between Madhurawada-Anandapuram-Bheemili got a big craze after a four-lane Vizag-Bheemili Road developed on the beach front. 

During his regime in between 1996-2004, Chandrababu Naidu developed the road by breaking a big hill near Kailasagiri. 

Now there are several hospitals linked with medical colleges and universities and a large number of engineering colleges emerged in the area. 

The Visakhapatnam Metro Region Development Authority also constructed several residential colonies in the same area. 

Even during his recent busy schedule, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu inspected the infrastructure development works close to the IT-SEZ.

Andhra Pradesh Chamber of Commerce Director D S Varma said,"It is a very good sign. 

All these years, Visakhapatnam was neglected and at least now, it is registering rapid growth. 

The Visakhapatnam East has only scope for further development in the city. Already, residential colonies being emerged in the areas. 

With  express highway connecting Bhogapuram airport and six-lane national highway between Anandapuram and Pendurty, the area will become another city of destiny soon.”
