Recreating the divine stories

Shilparamam Arts, Crafts, and Cultural Society organised various cultural activities over the weekend at its premises. The cultural events began with the rendering of Bharatanatyam dance by Malini Agrahar of Bangalore. She performed for items like ‘Siddi Vinayakam’, ‘Jatiswaram’, ‘Ashtapadi’, ‘Yahi Madhava’, and ‘Thillana’. She mesmerised the audience with her scintillating dancing skills.

Following the Bharatanatyam recital by Malini, Kuchipudi dance rendering performed by Gitika Kuchipudi Arts Academy. Artistes include Vaishali, Tanusri, Bhavika, Laxmi, Lasya, Puja and Vaishnavi enthralled the audience with their flawless effort. The group performed for items like ‘Maha Ganapatim’, ‘Sri Gananayaka’, ‘Dashavataram’, ‘Jatiswaram’, ‘Tarangam’, ‘Krishna Shabdam’, ‘Shiva Tandavam’, Mahishasura Mardhini’, ‘Vinnapalu Vinavale’ and more. The group enthralled the audience with their spell-binding show and flawless efforts.

On Sunday, the cultural activities began with Bangalore-based Bharatanatyam dancer Anjana Ramesh’s magnificent rendition of items like ‘Shivapadam’, ‘Madhuranagari’, ‘Ranjani Mala’ and more. Later, Mumbai-based Bharatanatyam dancer Pratyusha Rao performed Bharatanatyam for items like ‘Padavarnam’ and Kshetryaa Padam’ and engaged the audience with her fast movements.

The weekend cultural activities ended up with the Kuchipudi dance recital by disciples of Sai Geetha of Amrutha Arts Academy. The group rendered for verses like ‘Jayamu Jayamu’, ‘Maha Ganapatim’, ‘Paluke Bangaram’, ‘Jatiswaram’, ‘Tarangam’, ‘Aananda Tandavam’, and more. The two-day activities witnessed more audience at the Shilparamam premises.
