PCB collects samples from Trimulgherry Lake

 Trimulgherry: On the complaint given by the residents living around the Trimulgherry Lake, the Telangana State Pollution Control Board (TSPCB) collected samples from the lake here on Wednesday. It may be noted that the residents of Malani Enclave and neighbouring colonies gave several representations to clean the lake.

 Venkatramana, a resident of Malani Enclave said, “In spite of repeated requests even by the ward member to include the issue in the SCB meeting agenda, it was not included.”

A culvert is running from Lal Bazaar, Trimulgherry village and sewage water is let into the lake from adjoining colonies, East side Padmanabha colony, Airlines colony, Surya Avenue, from North China Thokatta village, Sri Lakshmi Narasimha colony, Srinagar Colony, Malani Enclave without a proper channel and the water is not treated. 

The SCB constructed drainage pipeline, culverts and connected into the lake but failed to connect them to the other end of the culvert.
