Women’s Day celebrated all over

Andhra Bank

To celebrate the occasion an event was organized at Andhra bank Building in R.R Appa Rao Street in one town, Vijayawada. Circle General Manager of Vijayawada KSDS Vara Prasad & Zonal Manager of Vijayawada M.V.Swamy inaugurated the event in which all women employees working in Andhra Bank Circle & Zonal Office enthusiastically participated. Addressing the gathering CGM applauded the role played by women in development of the society and Andhra Bank in particular.

Dr. MCR HRD Institute of Telangana 

Dr. MCR HRD Institute of Telangana celebrated the International Women’s Day-2018, with enthusiasm. 

The event comprised a bouquet of activities. In the painting camp, the employees and trainees made a number of creative paintings depicting the themes of “Beti Bachao; Beti Padhao”, “Save the Girl Child”, “Women Empowerment”, “Freedom is the Ultimate Luxury”, etc. 

In addition, a number of employees spoke on the significance of theInternational Women’s Day and also recited poetry and sang melodious songs glorifying the contribution of Telangana women in diverse fields. 

N. Rajarajeshwari, Director, Administration, Dr. MCR HRD Institute of Telangana, who spoke on this occasion, paid rich tributes to women’s political, economic, and social achievements over the decades. She stated that the Women’s Day is an occasion to raise awareness around gender equality, gender parity, and empowerment of women in order to enable them to transform their lives and break the cycle of poverty for themselves and their families. 

She further stated that women have great potential and the need of the hour is to make full use of it. A large number of officers, faculty, staff, and trainees of the institute attended the event.

The Institute of Costs Accountants of India, ICSI & ICAI jointly organised a seminar on 'Unnati - Growth of Women in Profession", today at KLN Prasad Auditorium, Federation House, Red Hills, Hyderabad. 

C. Suvarna, Commissioner, Fisheries Department, Government of Telangana was the chief guest on the occasion. Dr. Chandra Sekhar Rajanala, Chairman, The Institute of Cost Accountants of India,  Manadava Sunil Kumar, Chairman, ICAI, Kavitha Rani Sakhamuri, Chairman, ICSI were the other speakers at the occasion. 

Smt. C. Suvarna detailed about how first women faced many odds including the Indian Administrative Services. She expressed that women today are quite blessed and many women of the previous generations have faced a lot of difficulties in achieving recognition in society and a good position as well.

HMDA 

Necklace Road: In view of the International Women’s Day, Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authoirty (HMDA) officials celebrated Women’s day at Sanjeevaiah Park.

During the celebrations HMDA commissioner T Chiranjeevulu said that world runs with money, but our family runs by women and India gives first priority to women in the society. He also added that there are 60 per cent of women working in HMDA because of which HMDA is having a great progress.
