A CME was also hosted on the occasion for Ophthalmologists, with the theme Glaucoma - ‘Stop theft, save sight left’. Over 100 delegates from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Maharashtra attended the same.

Speaking on the occasion Dr C Laxma Reddy said “I appreciate HOA and Centre for Sight for taking the initiative to create awareness about glaucoma. Government has the responsibility to ensure good health of its people.

This government has been emphasising on preventive care. Chief Minister is giving top priority to healthcare along with the other sectors. The thrust of this government has been on creating awareness, prevention, early detection and treatment of disease.

As part of several initiatives being taken by the government, CM has thought of the eye check-up for everyone in the state. One out of every 5 victims of glaucoma being in India is very sad, which is due to lack of awareness. The government is taking initiatives to provide awareness and happy that you will support us to reach out to people with information.
