Officials told to complete pending works of model housing colony soon

Siddipet:  District Collector Venkatram Reddy has directed officials to complete all pending works for the inauguration of the model 2BHK housing colony for the poor, which is slated for inauguration by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao by July-end. 

Reviewing the pending works with municipal, electricity, RWS, public health and Panchayat Raj department officials at integrated collectorate here on Monday, he referred to erection of a welcome board, link roads facility from national highway, opening hair-cutting saloons, provisional stores, linking the drainages to sewerage treatment plant, establishing a rytu bazaar with a provision for 30 farmers to sell vegetables, opening a wine shop, linking the police outpost with the police command and control center, regulation of traffic all around the model housing colony which is adjacent to the Rajiv Rahadari.
 
He asked the authorities to take up the works from today and convey him the progress through whatsapp.  Siddipet RDO Mutyam Reddy, municipal chairman Rajanarsu, panchayat raj EE Rajasekhar Reddy, divisional engineer Venu, municipal deputy divisional engineer Lakshman, RWS executive engineer Srinivasachary, public health department divisional engineer Gopal and other elected people’s representatives to stay put at the work site and complete the works by working day and night. 

He asked the officials to complete all arrangements for celebrating house warming ceremony in about 1960 2 BHK houses built in G+2 at Narsapur by month-end. Street lights, energizing the houses, drinking water to homes, sinking of four bore wells in the colony and installing four bore well hand pumps and other works should be completed by July 15, Siddipet urban tahsildar Parameswar, SUDA chairman Ravinder Reddy, councilors Barla Mallikarjun, Narsimlu and other elected people’s representatives, representatives of various government agencies took part in the review meeting.
