Warns stringent against those spreading fake messages on social media

Chandrayangutta: Following circulation of a video-grab of youth dancing with daggers, the South Zone police have warned of action against those who were indulging in spreading fake messages on social media.

A message on social media alleging ‘dance of daggers’ during late night hours under Chandrayangutta police station limits on July 28, has prompted the police jump into action and refute the claim.

The message blames police’ ‘lacklustre’ attitude in controlling the trend, within days of recent episode of ‘Russian belly dancers’ over which arrests were made including that of bridegroom.

South Zone, DCP, V Satyanarayana has refuted the claim by pointing out that that no function was booked on that particular day.

He held that the culprits involved in criminal cases were involved in this kind of activity and were spreading rumours through social media.
“Inquiry is going on to find out how this posting was created.

Nowadays it has become a fashion to post old and other videos and giving the personal narrations to tarnish the police image.

Kindly not post any video which damages image of people and area without proper evidence,” added DCP.
