Shepherds urged to make use of sheep scheme
Khammam: The district president of Gorrela Pempakamdarula Sahakara Sangham, Mekala Mallibabu Yadav, urged the people of Yadav and Kuruma communities to utilise Sheep Rearing Scheme to develop financially.
The general body meeting with the representatives of district unit was held here at district office in Khammam on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, Mallibabu Yadav said that the State government has introduced the prestigious Sheep Rearing Scheme for people of Yadava and Kuruma communities, who make up the 15 per cent of State’s population.
“The implementation of the scheme is going perfectly across the State. The shepherds who benefitted from the scheme must not misuse it. Some of them are indulging in reselling of sheep, which is not a good practice. The societies concerned must be held responsible for such incidents if they occur in their areas,” he pointed.
He urged the officials of departments concerned to complete the distribution process of sheep units by March end. The members of the societies along with veterinary doctors and officials of Animal Husbandry must work in coordination with each other for the perfect implementation of the scheme, which was introduced prestigiously for the uplift Yadava and Kuruma communities.
Representatives of the Sangham Dr B Srinivas Rao, G Bhadraiah, B Ramu, M Srinivas, P Venkateshwarli, V Vinay, Dpichaiah and J Papaiah were present along with others.
