Regular training helps cops keep crimes in check: Karimnagar Collector

Karimnagar: District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed stated that regular training of police personnel will be highly useful for them in discharging duties perfectly and successfully besides keeping crimes in check.

The Collector attended the closing ceremony of the training camp as a chief guest here on Wednesday. The camp was held for about 427 Sub-Inspectors here at the Police Training Centre in Karimnagar.

Speaking on the occasion, Sarfaraz Ahmed said that the training for police personnel taken up by the authorities would be highly helpful to those who were joining the Sub-Inspector’s posts in the police department. Training police personnel would help them keep check on crime rate and maintain law and order, he added.

Police officials must create a pleasant atmosphere in police stations so that people can come to the stations without any fear to lodge their complaints, the Collector added.

On the occasion, officials requested the Collector to set up a swimming pool in the Police Training Centre which would help the police personnel who are under training as the authorities of Ambedkar Stadium are charging money for using the swimming pool present in the stadium.

Responding positively to the request made by the police officials, the Collector ordered the authorities of Ambedkar Stadium not to charge any money for the police personnel who are under training and assured them of setting up a swimming pool in the Police Training Centre.

Principal of Police Training Centre B Ram Reddy, DCPs Rangaiah, Bhimrao, Lakshminarayana, Circle Inspectors Karunakar, Vignan Rao, Naveen Kumar, Lingamurthy, Srinivas, Praveen Kumar, Reserve Inspectors Kumaraswamy, Civil SIs, RIs and others were present.
