TRS ridicules Congress party's Girijan Declaration
Hyderabad : TRS MLC Ramulu Naik has ridiculed the 'Girijan Declaration' announced by Congress party promising empowerment of Tribals.
Speaking to media persons on Wednesday, Naik said that the Congress party ruled the State for about 60 years and did nothing for the development of Tribals. By announcing 'Girijan Declaration' in Kamareddy on Tuesday, TPCC Chief Uttam Kumar Reddy gave an impression as if the country got independence only four years ago and TRS formed the first government.
He said Congress should first give clarification for its failure to develop STs. He said Congress had promised to upgrade Tandas into Gram Panchayats in 2009 elections. However, it was only after TRS came to power that nearly 4,000 Tandas were made Gram Panchayats.
Naik said there was no silent revolution brewing against TRS Government as being claimed by Uttam Kumar Reddy. Instead, he said one silent revolution was going on in Gandhi Bhavan to replace Uttam as TPC Chief. He alleged that Uttam Kumar Reddy was day-dreaming about Congress party coming to power in 2019. He said Congress party would be completely wiped out of Telangana in next elections and their State headquarters Gandhi Bhavan would be locked.
