CITU stages dharna outside coal mines office

Kothagudem: The CITU leaders staged a protest outside the office of General Manager at Kothagudem area mines on Monday. Led by Union leader Y Krishnaiah, the union demanded that the government clear all pending bonus amount for underground mines contract workers immediately.

Speaking on the occasion, Krishnaiah said that the contract workers have been eagerly waiting for the bonus amount for the past many months but, the contractor was not releasing the amount due to the workers. He also questioned the officers on why the bonus amount was not being released for the underground mines works. 

The union staged dharna for one hour outside the office of the General Manager and later submitted a memorandum. Union leaders Srinivas, Veraswamy, K Kiran, Suresh, Kiran, Raju Anil Vilas, M Srniu, N Srinu, K Raju, Nayum, Promod, Balakrishna, Nagaraju, Satthi and others participated in the programme.
