Take steps to prevent accidents on NH: Collector to officials

Bhongir: District Collector Anitha Ramachandran here on Thursday directed officials to take all necessary measures to prevent accidents on highways passing through the district.

The District Collector along with Joint Collector Ravi Naik was holding a review meeting with the officials here. Speaking on the occasion, Anitha Ramachandran ordered the officials to identify the accident blackspots and take preventive measures. She instructed officials to lay service roads  wherever it was necessary.

She also directed the officials of national highway authorities to paint zebra crossings and make lighting arrangements. She asked the officials to make plans for foot over bridge at Bibinagar and Konda Madugu in the district.

She directed the officials to erect sign boards at accident blackspots GMR manager Sridhar Reddy, project manager Chandra Shekar, National High way Authority Warangal project director Srinivasulu, Hyderabad project director Kiran Kumar , RDOs Bhupal Reddy, Suraj Kumar, Bhongir Muncipal Commissioner Venu Gopal Reddy, R&B, Traffic officials participated in the meeting.
