Hyderabad: The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) workers unions have thanked the company management for solving the long-pending issue of implementation of Cadre Scheme and increasing eleven other types of allowances.

The management agreed for increasing 11 types of allowances from 30 per cent to 100 per cent, making 190 to 240 transfer workers as masters and 900 masters into general Mazdoor regularisation. The management entered into agreement with the workers unions on Thursday and because of this, about 20,000 workers would be benefitting.

According to the officials, because of the efforts of Singareni MD N Sridhar, the assurances were implemented within two months of structured meeting. The workers unions demanded implementation of cadre scheme in Singareni on the lines of Coal India. The MD formed a committee and sent to Coal India to study the cadre scheme. The committee recommended Singareni to implement some better practices followed by Coal India to which the MD agreed.
