MLA Chintala Kanaka Reddy & Corporator Sridevi Hanmanth Rao launch drive to remove hyacinth from four tanks

 Malkajgiri: Responding to The Han India story on the problems faced by local residents on account of hyacinth in tanks in Ramakrishnapuram, Alwal, Banda Cheruvu, besides the one in the town, officials and corporator took action on Wednesday to remove it. Local MLA Chintala Kanaka Reddy and Corporator Sridevi Hanmanth Rao on Wednesday launched the drive to remove hyacinth in the tanks at a cost of Rs.1.7 crore. 

They informed THI that steps would be taken to ensure that the removed weed would not re-appear for three years. The residents speaking to THI, thanked officials, the MLA and the corporator for seeking to solve their problems causing by hyacinth in the four tanks. Among those present were AE Srinivas, Madhusudhan Reddy, Srinivas Reddy, Shankar Rao, Babu Rao.
