Congress Kisan cell moots farm commission

 Hyderabad: Congress Kisan Cell Telangana unit chairman M Kodanda Reddy on Saturday suggested the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) to include promises like appointing a commission for agriculture, a comprehensive act to prevent the spurious seeds and 17 other measures for the welfare of the farmers. 

Kodanda Reddy held a meeting with executive committee of Telangana Kisan Congress Cell and discussed the promises to be made to the farmers in the manifesto of the Congress. He said Congress should form Rythu Mitra Sanghams in the place of Rythu Samanvaya Samithis. 

He said Congress should promise providing mini tractors to the small and medium farmers. A special drive should be taken up to clean the revenue records of the lands. The Congress should strive to link the NREGS to agriculture.
