Chatrinaka: The South Zone police held a coordination meeting with Ganesh pandal organizers of Lalitabagh, near Chatrinaka to ensure smooth passage of idols from the area to immersion sites.  The DCP South Zone, V Satyanarayana, along with ACP Falaknuma Syed Fiaz, K Manoj Kumar, SHO, Chatrinaka Police Station, Syed Abdul Khader Jilani, Additional Inspector attended the coordination meeting.

During the meeting Sabavat Giridhar Nayak, TRS senior leader of Chandrayangutta Constituency, brought to notice of the police officials about the problems being faced by the devout while installing the idols and later when taking them for immersion. Particularly, he said the Railway under Bridge (RuB) on the way from Lalithabagh and adjoining areas was a big obstruction during the Ganesh festivities. The organizers have to take help of crane to overcome the hurdle, which lifts each Ganesh idol towards the other side of the bridge. The alternative route is available through small lanes, but no less hassle-free as big vehicles sometimes get struck in these bylanes.

Satyanarayana during the meeting motivated the organizers to install small Ganesh idols and to avoid big trucks instead use of trolleys and DCMs etc. He also enquired about issues with regards to RuB and for smooth conduct of Ganesh immersion procession on the route. Each year 200 to 300 Ganesh idols pass through the RuB, where the process of lifting and mounting the vehicle continue till late night hours during the festivity days. Most of the big Ganeshas are immersed in Tank Bund, while others make their way to Saroornagar mini tank bund or Rajanna bavi.
