82,000 bogus voters present in Karwan, alleges Congess
Karwan: The Congress party has alleged presence of more than 82,000 ‘bogus voters’ in the voter list issued by GHMC for Karwan Assembly constituency. These bogus voters could be misused by the opposition in the upcoming elections for vested gains and ‘a fair list not been prepared’, alleged the Congress.
According to TPCC secretary Afsar Yousuf Zahi, the GHMC has identified 2,87,626 voters of which nearly 82,562 voters have to deleted. These voters have either expired or have left the constituency migrating to a different place. A representation was also submitted to District Electoral Officer and GHMC Commissioner M Dana Kishore and also to Election Commission of India at New Delhi. Afsar urged the authorities to “conduct door-to-door resurvey and delete the names of voters who left the constituency and of those who expired.”
