SCR GM visits major railway stations in city
Kacheguda: Gajanan Mallya, General Manager, South Central Railway, conducted extensive inspection of Secunderabad, Hyderabad and Kacheguda Railway Stations on Sunday to review the passenger amenities and facilities provided. He was accompanied by Anand Bhatia, Divisional Railway Manager, Secunderabad division, and other officials during the inspection of Secunderabad and Hyderabad railway stations, and Arun Kumar Jain, Divisional Railway Manager, Hyderabad division, at Kacheguda railway station.
Commencing the inspection at Secunderabad station, the General Manager inspected various passenger amenities and discussed with officials further plans to improve them. He was briefed in detail regarding modern mechanised cleaning equipments being put to use to keep the station neat and clean. He extensively checked maintenance of cleanliness on station premises and security arrangements by Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel. He went around inward and outward parcel offices, crew lobby, running room and enquired with passengers about the facilities provided.
At Hyderabad station, Gajanan Mallya inspected circulating area, waiting halls and passenger facilities. He also conducted a detailed inspection of Godavari Express Train rake which has been upgraded with modern facilities under ‘Project Utkrisht’. Later, Gajanan Mallya inspected Kacheguda station. During his inspection, he checked the passenger facilities. Divisional Railway Manager briefed him on the proposed platform extension works. Mallya also visited Rail Heritage Museum, Mobile Digital Theatre, Fresh up facility. He inspected the circulating area and discussed about further developmental plans of Kacheguda station with Divisional Railway Manager.
