147 crore for internal roads in Karimnagar

Karimnagar: District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmad directed the officials to speed up the construction of internal roads in the city. Conducting a review meeting with the officials here on Friday, the Collector said that the government had sanctioned Rs 147 crore for the Karimnagar Municipal Corporation (KMC) exclusively for the development of internal roads for the 2017-18 financial year. He told the engineering wing to expedite the works so that to finish by June-end. 

KMC Commissioner Shashanka was among other officials present in the review meeting. Earlier, the Collector inspected the arrangements for the Governor ESL Narasimhan’s visit to Laxmipur under Ramadugu mandal on Saturday. 

The Governor is scheduled to inspect the package-8 works of Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project (KLIP). He along with the Commissioner of Police VB Kamalasan Reddy inspected the construction work of helipad at Laxmipur.
