Andhra Bank zonal meet focuses on new ideas

Warangal: The two-day zonal-level meet of Andhra Bank (AB) got underway here on Saturday. The meet focused on zonal-level consultation and ideation, a first-of-its-kind initiative in which all the branches were asked to review their performance, deliberate on issues before the banking sector, and ideate on future strategies.

The meet also focused on ways to increase credit to various sectors of the economy, enhance use of technology to bring about innovation and enable ig data analysis and make banking citizen-centric as well as more responsive the needs and aspirations of senior citizens, farmers, small industrialists, youth entrepreneurs, students and women.

The meet reviewed the performance of all the branches in the zone, focusing on –credit support for the economic growth, infrastructure/industry, farm sector, Jal Shakti, MSME and MUDRA loans, education loans, export credit, green economy, Swachh Bharat, financial inclusion and women empowerment, alignment with local priorities and corporate social responsibility. The authorities received quite a few suggestions from branches during the meet and they will be sent for the consideration of higher-ups, the officials said.
