Collector Bharathi Hollikeri happy over Gurukul students performance
Mancherial: District Collector Bharathi Hollikeri paid a surprise visit to Telangana Social Welfare Gurukul for Boys in Bellampalli on Thursday. She was impressed with 8th class student R Harish with his explanation on the role of technology in cultivation and agriculture products for farmers.
She went to the classrooms directly and examined the educational standard of the students and congratulated them. She also visited library in the school and asked a student to read the headlines of a English newspaper and was satisfied with the student. She also expressed satisfaction after visiting the science lab in the gurukul.
The Collector enquired the Principal about kitchen garden plantation and advised him to supply water to 2,000 plants through drip irrigation and instructed the agriculture department officers to take necessary action.
she specially congratulated 10 students, who were selected for JEE Mains and the staff on the occasion.
Later Collector Bharathi participated as a chief guest at the special training programme for farmers, on modern practices in agriculture and made several suggestions to them. She checked the seventh class students how they are writing online exam on a Tab.
