Karimnagar IT Tower to be opened on Feb 18

IT Tower in Karimnagar district will be opened on February 18 by the IT minister KT Rama Rao, said MLA Gangula Kamalakar on Monday.

Speaking to the media, the MLA said that companies that promise to increase job vacancies will be given an opportunity to set up their unit in the IT tower. "The IT tower was constructed as a part of the decentralisation of development and 80 percent of the jobs will be offered to localities," the MLA added.

Around 3000-3600 jobs will be created and 400 employees will start their work on the opening day of the tower, Kamalakar asserted.

He also said that the youngsters do not need to move to Gulf countries in search of a job. The government has signed an agreement with 15 companies that are willing to set up their units in the districts. "Advanced facilities like high-frequency internet, uninterrupted power supply, power backup generator, centralized AC will be provided," he said.
