MLA asks people to take care of planted saplings in Jagitial

Jagitial: People of every walk of life must participate green drive to increase launched by the Telangana Government under the Haritha Haram programme, appealed Choppadandi MLA, Sunkari Ravi Shankar here on Tuesday.

He said that along with planting the saplings, people must take steps to protect them. MLA, Ravi Shankar accompanied with District Collector Dr A Sharath participated in the Haritha Haram programme that was organiSed here in Kodimyal and Malyala mandals and planted the saplings on either side of the Nachupalli road.

Later, Ravi Shankar distributed saplings to the women of Anatharam village and inspected the soaking pits, bore recharge and compost pits that are constructed in the ZP High School and participated in the Haritha Haram programme along with school students.

Tahsildars R Padmavathi, G Srinivas Rao, MPDOs Ramesh, Sudhakar, ZPTCs Prashanthi, Ram Mohan Rao, MPPs Swarna Latha, Vimala, MEO Narayana, Sarpanchs Ambati Latha, Akula Gangavva and other officials were present.
