Nalgonda stands with RTC workers, all establishments remain closed for the day
Nalgonda: The State bandh called by RTC workers and Opposition parties passed off peacefully in erstwhile Nalgonda district on Saturday. As part of protest, RTC workers staged dharnas before the RTC depots. Leaders of opposition parties expressed their solidarity with the agitating workers.
The whole day RTC buses were confined to the depots. Police of respective districts made tight security arrangements in depots and main centers of major towns to avoid any untoward incidents during the bandh.
Opposition parties took out bike rallies in Nalgonda , Suryapet, Bhongir , Kodad , Miryalguda and other parts of the district and condemned the State government callous attitude towards RTC workers.
RTC women employees played kabbaddi in Nalgonda bus stand and raised slogans against the government over its attitude. As part of the bandh, the RTC JAC organised lass march at RTC bus stand in Nalgonda, leaders of all opposition parties including Left and Right wings and people' s organisation took part in the lunch programme.
They condemned CM KCR's autcratic attitude and warned the State government of intensifying the strike if workers demands were not accepted. Retired employees association and IKP –SERP- DRDA employees expressed their solidarity with the agitating RTC workers in Nalgonda district.
