Officials told to start making arrangements for Bhadradri Brahmotsavams

Bhadrachalam: District Collector MV Reddy directed the officials of Bhadrachalam temple and others concerned to start making arrangements for the Lord Rama Temple Brahmotsavams that begin from Ugadi festival.

On Tuesday, the Collector chaired a coordination meeting with the officials of various departments concerned at the Sub-Collector's Office in Bhadrachalam. Addressing the officials, Reddy informed that the main events of Brahmotsavams, that is the celestial wedding of the Lord and his coronation ceremony, would be conducted on April 2 and 3.

Adding that a large number of devotees from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Chhattisgarh and Odisha would come to take part in the celebrations, the Collector called for making all necessary arrangements for the convenience of devotees. He directed them to arrange drinking water facilities, temporary sheds besides prasadam selling counters. The Collector informed that the Kalyana Mandapam would be divided into 35 sectors and CCTV cameras would be arranged in every sector besides the police personnel to guard the venue. He directed the panchayat officials to focus in sanitation and other aspects related to it.

Directing the temple officials to put the tickets online for sale, the Collector asked them to arrange all facilities to provide hassle-free darshan to the devotees. The RTC will ply additional buses for the festival as usually, he informed. As Chief Minister, Governor and other important personalities visit the temple, the Collector called for strict security arrangements by the police during the Brahmotsavams.

Additional Collector K Venkateswarlu, Assistant Superintendent of Police Rajesh, trainee IPS officer Anudeep, In-charge Revenue Divisional Officer, Bhadrachalam Swarna Latha, temple Executive Officer G Narasimhulu and officials of various departments attended the meeting.
