Kothagudem: Officials told to make arrangements for PACS polls

Kothagudem: District Collector MV Reddy directed the officials concerned to make all arrangements for the smooth conduct of elections to Primary Agricultural Cooperative Credit Societies. Addressing the media on Thursday, he said the elections would be conducted for 21 societies in the district and added that special officers were already appointed for monitoring the poll process.

He said election would be conducted for 13 directors in each society. The filing of nominations has started on Thursday, he informed, adding that verification of nominations would be done on February 9, nominations can be withdrawn on 10 and polling would be conducted on February 15, from 7 am to 1 pm. The results would be announced the same day, Reddy informed. Joint Collector K Venkateswarlu and District Co-operative Officer Michel Bose would impart the necessary training to the election officials.
