Revanth blames govt for MRO's murder

Hyderabad: Responding to the burning alive of Abdullapurmet Tahsildar Vijaya Reddy, Congress MP Revanth Reddy made State government responsible for MRO's murder.

Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, the Congress leader alleged that the ruling party leaders took large sums of money from the locals, claiming that they will provide pattadar passbooks to them.

He demanded the State government to order for the CBI probe into the murder case of Vijaya immediately. He also accused TRS government of portraying revenue staff as corrupt. Therefore, State government is responsible for the murder of MRO, he stated

The murder of Tahsildar is most tragic, said M Kishan Reddy, TRS MLA of Ibrahimpatnam. He mentioned that the allegations that he had threatened Tahsildar were untrue.

Suresh, who is accused of the murder, is not a party activist, the MLA clarified. He also said that six months ago around 60 people came to him over a land dispute. I met Joint Collector regarding the land, apart, I am not involved in this case, he said.

MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy demanded that the government should ensure a transparent investigation into the murder of Vijaya. Also, sought protection for the government employees. "Government should take serious action to thwart such incidents from repeating," he added.

LB Nagar MLA Sudheer Reddy demanded that the murder accused should be severely punished. Controversies between individuals have increased as land values have escalated in the recent times.

Bhagyanagar Telangana NGO Association (BTNGOA) condemned the gruesome incident and has termed the murder of

Vijaya Reddy as a heinous and barbaric act.
