Tahsildar's driver too succumbs to burn injuries
Hyderabad: Brutally killed Abullapurmet Tahsildar Vijaya Reddy's driver A Gurunatham succumbed to burn injuries, while undergoing treatment in Osmania General Hospital on Tuesday.
Guruntham had suffered 82 per cent burn injuries while trying to save Vijaya Reddy, who died on Monday.
Gurunatham is survived by wife Soundarya, who is eight months
pregnant and an 18-month old son Siddarth.
The main accused in the murder case, Suresh, battling for life as he also suffered 65 per cent burn injuries. He is undergoing treatment in a private corporate hospital and his condition is critical.
Doctors said Suresh is in unconscious stage and not in a position to speak. The cops are waiting to record a statement from him and cases have already been booked under relevant sections, police said.
Rachakonda Police Commisssioner Mahesh Bhagwat said the probe launched from various aspects to find out the role of realtor in the murder case.
Meanwhile, Vijaya Reddy's husband Subhash Reddy has demanded a CBI probe into the murder. He expressed doubts that some more persons might be behind the accused Suresh.
He said that Vijaya had never told him about facing a life threat from the accused. Subhash made the state government responsible for the people to attack revenue officials.
Before the last rites of Vijay Reddy, the Telangana Revenue Employees Association called upon all revenue workers to boycott their duties for two days and demanded CBI enquiry into the brutal murder.
