Revenue employees lock horns with government over delay in MRO transfers
Hyderabad: Revenue Employees Association members lock horns with the State government over the delay in transfer of Mandal Revenue Officers (MROs) working on deputation in far-away areas from their residences since September last.
The association leaders questioned the government for not transferring the revenue officials to their native districts even after the completion of Assembly and Parliament elections in the State.
ssociation President V Ravinder Reddy said the government had assured the revenue officials of reposting them to the posts that were allotted before going on deputation to other places on election duty.
All the poll related activities were over, but the revenue staff were still struggling in the offices located far away from their family.
All the officials on deputation pleaded with the government to transfer them to their old places but their pleas fell on deaf ears, the association leaders said.
They warned of boycott of the duties if the government did not respond to the plights of the employees.
Reddy appealed to all revenue officials to submit memoranda to all District Collectors on Monday requesting them to consider the demand to the transfer of revenue officials immediately.
