Six-year-old bitten by stray dogs succumbs after shifting to five hospitals in Hyderabad

A six-year-old girl who was battling for life after being attacked by a pack of stray dogs at Chengicherla in Hyderabad died on Saturday.

A six-year-old girl who was battling for life after being attacked by a pack of stray dogs at Chengicherla in Hyderabad died on Saturday.

The incident occurred when the girl was washing clothes when the group of dogs attacked injuring her on legs and waist. Her family rushed to her to Aditya Hospital in Boduppal where the doctors referred her to Ankura Hospital for better treatment. The girl's parents said that staff at Aditya Hospital were asked to pay the bills for no treatment provided.

Three hours after getting treated the Ankura, the doctors recommended to shift the girl to Yashoda hospital in Secunderabad. As the Yashoda Hospital denied to admit her, she was shifted to Fever hospital, the parents alleged adding that her condition worsened by then. An hour after at Fever Hospital, the girl shifted her to Niloufer Hospital where she succumbed to the injuries.

Child-rights activist Achyuth Rao said that the family was running from one hospital to another from 11.30 am to 6.30 pm.
