Students made aware of people-friendly policing

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police Jagruthi Kalaabrundam conducted an awareness programme at Govt. Polytechnic College, Girmapur village under Petbasheerabad police limits on Friday.

The Kalaabrindam and the SHE teams presented an awareness programme on legal awareness, SHE teams, Domestic violence, anti-Ragging and Eve-teasing, importance of voting in a democracy, installation of community CCTV, negative effects of social media, social evils and role of students, drug abuse, cybercrimes, online fraud, problems of child marriages, mobile usage, Road accidents, awareness on wearing seat belt and helmets, human trafficking and so on.

The participants in the programme included Kalabrundam in-charge ARSI Sathaiah, SHE team in-charge SI Srinivas, Govt. Polytechnic College Principal Snehalatha, HOD Surender Reddy, NSS officer Balanjireddy. A total of 550 students attended the programme. (NSS)
