Hyderabad: The Telangana government has informed the Centre about the hurdles encountered in the dry run of vaccination process through the CoWin App, which has been brought into force to monitor the vaccination programme nationwide recently.

In the video conference conducted by Union Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba from New Delhi on Saturday, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar explained the challenges faced by the authorities in the conduct of dry run for the proposed vaccination from January third week.

The official brought to the notice of Rajiv Gauba about the confusion in identifying the vaccination centres due to some changes in the PIN (post index numbers) of the particular area. In some cases, the vaccination centres were not shown accurate on the official app, Somesh said, requesting the centre to ensure no confusion in the identification of venues during the vaccination programme.

The Chief Secretary also urged the Union Cabinet Secretary to include the State Ministers, all legislators and other elected public representatives in the first list of vaccination programme.

He also put the demand to include health workers working in gram panchayats in the Front Line Warriors list and administer vaccine to them. The official explained the State's preparedness for the universal vaccination programme which is likely to be launched from January 16 onwards.
