TRS completed Mid Manair Dam works left unfinished in Congress rule: Former MP Vinod Kumar

Rajanna Siricilla: The Vice-Chairman of the State Planning Commission and former MP, Bionapally Vinod Kumar inspected the Mid Manair Dam in Rajanna Siricilla district on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, Vinod Kumar said that the Mid Manair Dam was filled with 15 tmc water through the project Kaleshwaram Lift Irrgiation scheme earlier. But the experts of the Irrigation department warned that it was not safe to fill the MMD with huge quantity of water.

Due to small technical problem which occurred, the officials stopped filling the water in MMD to its full capacity and within short period of time they took up the repairing works and completed them, he said.

But the leaders of opposition parties created an issue to get mileage. This time the officials are trying to fill the MMD to its full capacity.

The construction of MMD was taken up during the period of Congress government under the leadership of YS Rajashekar Reddy and he did not complete it. But the TRS government completed the project works successfully, he added.

At present there are no problems with the MMD. After keeping under inspection for just week days, water will be filled to its full capacity with which the MMD is going to turn as water junction in north Telangana. Especially, the people of united Karimnagar can derive much benefit from the MMD and Lower Manair Dam, he said.
