Rajanna Siricilla: Gandhi's life history will always inspire youth

Rajanna Siricilla: Striving hard to fulfill the dreams and aspirations of Mahatma Gandhi is the real tribute one can pay to him, observed District Collector D Krishna Bhaskar here on Wednesday.

The Collector paid rich tributes by garlanding the portrait of Mahatam Gandhi on the occasion of his 150th birth anniversary here at the Collectorate. He also garlanded the Gandhiji's statue at Gandhi Chowk in Siricilla town. Addressing on the occasion, Collector Krishna Bhaskar said that with the weapon of non-violence Mahatma Gandhi chased away the British from the country and achieved freedom to the country. Gandhiji earned the name and fame as one of the most powerful man in the world.

His biography and history will always inspire the youth of present and future generations, he added.Zilla Parishad chairperson N Aruna said that only with the path shown by Mahatma Gandhi it is possible to build new and healthy society. Everyone must follow in his footsteps and must fulfill his dreams and aspirations, she added.
