TRS MLA Nomula Narasimhaiah passes away
TRS MLA Nomula Narasimhaiah of Nagarjuna Sagar assembly constituency passes away in the wee hours of today. The MLA suffered heart attack and was shifted to Apollo Hospitals in Hyderabad where he breathed his last. He was 64.
It is learned that Nomula Narasimhaiah has been suffering from a liver disease and also tested positive for coronavirus a month ago. Although, he tested negative for the virus, his health condition remained unstable.
On Tuesday, the MLA suffered from breathlessness and was rushed to hospital from MLA quarters. He was dead due to heavy attack while undergoing treatment.
Nomula Narasimhaiah won as MLA in 1999 and 2004 assembly elections from Narirekal from CPI(M) party. In 2009 elections, he contested for Bhongir parliament seat and was defeated. In 2014, Nomula Narasimhaiah joined TRS party and contested against Jana Reddy in 2014 elections and was lost.
However, in 2018 elections, he won as MLA from Nagarjuna Sagar assembly constituency.
