This event was held in the city recently at Taj Coromandel, Chennai to recognise and felicitate 25 prominent personalities and health care professionals who have carved a niche for themselves in the world of medicine. It was a proud moment for Velammal Group of Institutions as Velammal Medical college Hospital and Research Institute, Madurai was the recipient of the 'Special Recognition Award'.
