3,600 schools to get facelift in Kadapa dist
Kadapa: District Collector Ch Harikiran has said that as many as 3,600 schools in the district will be developed by spending Rs 400 crore under Manabadi Naadu-Nedu in a phased manner.
He inspected the ongoing works at Ramachandrapuram mandal Parishad school in Vontimitta along with Joint Collector Saikanth Varma (Development), Trainee Collector Vikas Marmat on Thursday. He said 1,048 schools will be developed in the first phase.
He said as per the government instructions, schools will be developed with 9 items like electrification, drinking water, compound wall, furniture, toilets, running water, colour paintings by spending Rs 20 lakh for each school. Collector directed the officials to ensure maintaining quality in the works. RDO Dharmachandra Reddy, Vontimitta Tahsildar Vijayakumari and others were present.
