Amma Vodi scheme to benefit lakhs of families: JAC leader

Vijayawada: Muslim JAC convener Shaik Muneer Ahmed said that the schemes like Amma Vodi, Arogya Sri and Videsi Vidya Deevena would benefit lakhs of families in the State.

Addressing media here on Saturday, Ahmed said many poor families were not in a position to send their children to the English medium schools due to poverty and added English medium education to be introduced from next academic year in the government schools will be useful to lakhs of children and mothers will get financial assistance under Amma Vodi scheme.

He appealed to the people to utilize the Spandana programme and submit applications to officials concerned to address their problems. Muneer Ahmed said there was huge response to Spandana programme being organised by the State government and officials were responding promptly to the grievances of the people.
