AP Assembly Winter Sessions: TDP demands adjournment motion while govt introduces bills

The second day of Andhra Pradesh assembly winter sessions have began on Tuesday morning. The government will introduce 10 bills in the House today and there could be a discussion on government measures in the distribution of house site pattas to the poor and coronavirus control. Meanwhile, Chandrababu, TDP MLAs and MLCs held a rally till the assembly with placards before the start of the assembly sessions to hand over the TIDCO houses to the beneficiaries immediately.

After the start the business, the Legislative assembly expressed condolences to former minister Penumatsa Sambasiva Raju, former MLAs P Narayana Reddy and Khalil Basha. Then the proceedings of the House began with minister Seediri Appalaraju inaugurated the discussion on Andhra Pradesh Fish Feed Quality Control Bill, AP Aquaculture Seed Quality Control Amendment Bill and AP Fisheries University Bill 2020. Meanwhile, as the minister was speaking, TDP members insisted on a debate on the adjournment resolutions.

Minister Buggana Rajendranath criticized the TDP members for deliberately obstructing the House. TDP members repeatedly interrupted while Minister Seediri Appalaraju was speaking. Rajendranath intervened. He said TDP members were obstructing the smooth running of the House and it was unfair to obstruct it in this way. He also accused TDP of obstructing the House by making unnecessary remarks yesterday and was incensed that they are resorting to such acts with the intention of making the people be unaware of the good deeds done by the government. He said government was ready to answer questions from the opposition.
