Available Amma Vodi benefits: Collector

Kalyandurg (Anantapur): District Collector S Satyanarayana has called upon the parents of children living in villages to send their wards to school and avail the government incentives for educating their children.

Participating in the 'Rajanna Badibata' programme at government high school in Borampalle village in Kalyandurg on Thursday, Satyanarayana said that the government would be giving Rs 15,000 to every family under the 'Amma Vodi' scheme to be launched from January 2020. Satyanarayana said that every family would come up in life only when the parents send their wards to school.

The Collector said that he too hailed from a village and from a poor background and was able to do IAS as he pursued education to come up in life. The architect of the Indian Constitution Dr B R Ambedkar and former President of India Dr Abdul Kalam had grew up to their heights only because of their education. He called for achieving cent per cent enrolment in schools, hundred per cent pass and hundred per cent literacy in every village. District officials and people's representatives were present.
