Covid vaccination: Hold training classes as per module, Guntur Collector tells officials

Guntur: District Collector I Samuel Anand Kumar directed officials to conduct training classes from district-level to village-level as per module for the Covid vaccination.

He addressed a meeting with district task force committee on Covid-19 vaccination on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that to check spread of Covid-19, all the government departments should work with accountability. He directed them to conduct a special workshop for all the government officials on Covid-19 vaccination and involve all the medical colleges.

He further said that to administer first vaccination, 15,426 staff working in the government hospitals, 1623 working in the private medical colleges, 15023 medical employees, Anganwadi staff details should be registered. Waiting room, vaccination room, observation room should be set up in the 185 centres identified for administering the first vaccination.

He directed the officials to submit a report on how many days centres would be opened for administering the vaccine. He instructed them to allot five employees to each centre and keep 10 percent of the staff in reserve and added that Covid-19 vaccine would be supplied on priority basis.

Joint collector P Prasanti, DMHO Dr Yasmin, DPO Kondaiah were among those who participated in the meeting.
