Nandigama: Krishna District Collector Mohammad Imtiaz on Tuesday ordered the Revenue officials to identify land on war-footing for the house sites for the poor and homeless in the district. He held a meeting with the Tahsildars of Jaggiahpeta, Penugranchiprolu, Chandralapadu and Nandigama mandals on the issues relating to house sites for the poor, flood situation and Ganesh idols immersion.

Speaking to the officials, the Collector said that as per Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's ambition to give house sites by Ugadi to all eligible beneficiaries, the officials should work in tendem. He said that the list of eligible beneficiaries should be prepared village-wise from the applications received.

He also directed them to prepare the list of government lands and assigned lands in the villages, along with the details of private lands for distributing land to the poor. The applications received by the village volunteers should be computerised at the earliest, said that collector on the occasion.
