Vijayawada: Members of Dream Social Services (DSS) staged a protest here on Friday, demanding that the TDP national president and former chief minister Chandrababu Naidu tender apology to the Dalits on behalf of the party leaders who have been passing on objectionable comments on Dalits.

The agitators said that the TDP leaders have been passing comments degrading Dalits which was highly objectionable. They recalled the objectionable comments made by former Women Commission chairperson N Rajakumari towards a lady Sub-Inspector of Police on duty which cannot be forgiven.

They also reminded the people that on one occasion, Chandrababu Naidu passed comments that 'No one will chose to be born as Dalit'. Many attacks took place on Dalits in the last five years of TDP regime.

Recently Amaravati MLA Sridevi was abused on caste grounds by TDP activists at a Ganesh pandal. Former MLA Ch Prabhakar with the support of Chandrababu Naidu was rude at Dalits by passing objectionable comments.
