Government determined to ensure healthcare for all: Minister Alla Kali Krishna Srinivas
Guntur: Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Medical and Health Alla Kali Krishna Srinivas on Tuesday said the government is giving a top priority to medical and health services. He said that the government would bring medical expenses exceeding Rs 1,000 under Arogyasri scheme to ensure better medical services to the poor. He said the government took a decision to this effect.
He was inaugurating primary health centre at Rompicherla and lay the foundation stone for the construction of mineral water plant and service ramp at a cost of Rs 1 crore in the Narasaraopet Area Government Hospital.
Speaking on this occasion, he said the government led by Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy fulfilled 90 per cent of promises within five- months of coming to power. He made it clear that there is no scarcity of sand in the State. There are ten sand stock points in the district, he siad.
He said that the government is planning to provide healthcare in government hospitals on a par with the corporate hospitals. MLA Kasu Mahesh Reddy, Gopi Reddy Srinivas Reddy, District collector I Samuel Anand Kumar were among those present.
