Programme held to address problems of police personnel: SP

Kurnool: A programme was held at Ved Vyas Auditorium here on Friday to address the grievances of police personnel. Several police personnel attended the meeting at grievance cell and brought their problems to the notice of Superintendent of Police, Dr Fakkeerappa Kaginelli.

The issues include increments, promotions, request transfers and others. Responding to their problems, the SP said that he will look into the issues and try to solve them at the earliest.

The police grievance cell organises meet on every third Friday and 37 police personnel submitted their representations.

The OSD Anjaneyulu, Administrative Officer Suresh Babu, Rangaswamy, Reserve Inspector, George, Police officers organisation president Nagaraju, police staff and women constables attended the programme.

Meanwhile, as part of Police Commemoration Week, the Nandyal Traffic police have conducted essay competitions to the students of 9th and 10th classes. The students were asked to write on the usage of latest technology to prevent road accidents and the role of police personnel. Sixty four students of various schools took part in the essay writing competition, said the Traffic CI K Jayaramulu.
