Rotary Golden Jubilee Club bags prize in Kakinada

Kakinada: Rotary Golden Jubilee Club president Dr Satish said that the Club was paying attention on curbing non-communicable diseases. The club was taking up awareness programmes on diseases like hyper tension, diabetes, obesity, renal failures, cardiac arrests, paralysis and others, he added.

Addressing a meeting of the Club here on Tuesday, he said that the club would organise screening camps in rural areas along with awareness programmes. A continuous health care center was running by the club. The club has received first prize in attending highest number of members in Rotary District Governor meeting held at Vijayawada in Krishna district.

Dr Satish said that all medical tests were being conducted in the Rotary Health Care Center and the Rotary Blood Bank was rendering tremendous services to the patients by providing blood to them in the needy situations.

Club secretary, Ajay Reddy said that the members of the club were participating in many programmes taken up by the club. The Rotary Club past district governor Dr SVS Rao said that Rotary Golden Jubilee Club acquired a significant place in the service sector and rendering services continuously. District governor PDG Vishnu Mandhe said that the clubs should pay attention on Project Positive Health Prevention of NCDP activities.
