Sand Shortage row: Govt has set up a call centre to address sand problems

With the decrease in the sand shortage, the district officials are making necessary efforts to make the sand available to the people. District collector Imtiaz Ahmad said on Sunday that many are struggling with online booking. As a solution to this, a call center has been set up on 0866 2474801, 803, 804 and people are advised to clear their doubts. The collector revealed that the sand is being sold under the APMDC and currently has a stockpile of 18200 tonnes.

A total of five Reichs are now in operation, and 38 certified landowners have expressed their willingness to excavate the sand. On the other hand, a special Spandana program has been set up to assure the farmer at all the revenue centers in the district on Saturday.

Meanwhile, on the occasion of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad's birthday on Monday, the celebrations of the welfare of minorities and the National Education Day will be held at plus convention center. CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will be present at the event. The awards on the name of Abul Kalam Azad will be issued tin the education field.
