SCR opens 44 reservation counters for special trains in Andhra Pradesh

With the Lockdown 4.0 prevailing across the country amid coronavirus pandemic, there have been some relaxations as well that are issued by the central government. As part of this, domestic flights will start from 25th of this month as train services to begin from June 1. Going ahead, the Railways has also launched an online booking facility from Thursday.

In this backdrop, the South Central Railway has announced that it will now offer a reservation facility at 73 railway stations from Friday. The announcement came from the South Central Railway shortly after Union Minister Piyush Goyal ordered Zonal Railways to make railway counters available according to local demand and conditions.

With the South Central Railway announcement, 44 online booking centres were set up in Andhra Pradesh and 18 in Telangana. On the other hand, six centres were set up in Maharashtra and 5 in Karnataka. The reservation facility is said to begin for special trains at respective centres from today.
