Short film competition on Sept 26, 27 in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: To mark the 124th birth anniversary of poet Gurram Jashua, Telugu short film competition will be held on September 26 and 27, said the Telugu Short Film Association general secretary TV Raju here on Tuesday. He said that the two-day programme will be held at Makineni Basavapunnaiah Vignanakendram.

He said that noted film actors Relangi Narasimha Rao, LB Sriram, C Umamaheswara Rao and N Shankar would attend and present prizes to the winners. He said that prizes will be given to the short films in three categories and the first prize will be a cash prize of Rs 25,000, second prize 15,000 and the third prize will be Rs 10,000.

The short films competition will be on topics such as education, alcohol, caste, religion, farmers, women problems, environment, corruption, unemployment, superstitions, human relations, human values, international social media, medical and health, sexual harassment, he added.
